Driver License Requirements
An ONTARIO valid G license or EQUIVALENT from other Canadian Province is required for a vehicle rental. If the customer is from another country then either customer’s international license (preferably) or country’s full license with the proof of customer’s PASSPORT is required to rent any one of the fleet vehicles.
IT’S CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK WITH THE MINISTRY of TRANSPORTATION TO UNDERSTAND THE CLASS OF THE LICENSE THE CUSTOMER IS HOLDING AND THE VEHICLE THE CUSTOMER IS DRIVING.
Late hours and Extra Daily Charges
All RENTEX vehicles, in general and (7) to (8) passenger vehicles, in particular, are reserved at a short interval between the two reservations, during the busy season periods. We want all our customers be served professionally & on time to their reservations.
It’s very important that the customer in the rental adheres strictly to the “TIME DUE IN” agreed upon in the rental agreement (RA#), or the customer will be charged LATE HOUR fee, which will be between 25%-50% of the daily rental charge. For example, if the daily rental price is $100, then the LATE HOUR fee will, at least, be $25-$50 / HOUR.
Failure to show up within four hours of the agreed upon rental “TIME DUE IN” will lead the customer to pay EXTRA DAILY fee which could be up to $200 more than the daily rental price for the, probable, price adjustments to the next reservation in lieu of the late pick up harassment of the next customer. PLEASE RESPECT THE TIME SCHEDULE OF THE NEXT CUSTOMER(s), AS THE “NEXT CUSTOMER” COULD BE YOU TOO!!
Cleanliness of the vehicle
Rentex car rental is committed to providing its customers a clean and tidy vehicle at the time of rental and expect the same gesture from the customer. Any vehicle(s) returned spoiled, untidy and unclean beyond a reasonable limit will be charged up to $100 with no exception or detailing fee.
Reservation / Cancelation policy
CANCELATION POLICY: All cancellations are subject to the current one day rental charges with fees and taxes, if the Cancellation(s) is/are submitted within 72hrs prior to the actual pickup time, 50% of the reservation amount will be charged to the customer.
If the cancelation is submitted at least up to 48 hours prior to the actual pickup time, Full amount, as per reservation request, will be charged for the cancelations received in less than 48 hours of actual pickup time.
Credit Card Requirements
Rentex require one of the major credit cards in the name of the renter for security deposit purposes. If the main driver does not have a credit card in his/her name and wants to borrow the credit card of another person for this purpose, then, we would need to add the name of the person lending the credit card to the rental agreement with applicable fee/charge. It is required by the company that the person added as an additional driver have a valid G or equivalent license.
Pre-Authorization / Security Deposit
Pre-authorization is the security deposit needed at the time of rental or if when you booking it online. The pre-authorization amount doesn’t show up in the monthly credit card statement of the customer. For most of the cars its $500 but for premium and luxury vehicles it ranges between $2500-$5000. Depending upon the CDW deductible selected by the customer.
Minimum Age: 23: Age 23 to 24 is charged at $ 9.99 / day, extra for cars and vans $19.99 charged extra / day for luxury $ premium
Age 25 and over: The renter should be at least 23 years of age, but the driver will still be considered “underage” below an age of 25 for which additional charge of $ 9.99 will be charged.
Additional drivers permitted: Minimum Age for additional drivers is 23 *All the additional drivers need to have a valid G license.
Any vehicle(s) must be returned with the fuel tank as it left the grounds of Rentex Car Rental facility. Fuel surcharges will apply, Price depends on current market. Ask at COUNTER
Cash deposits are not accepted: Rentex Car Rental accepts the following rental deposits: VISA, Master Card, and Company Account
Rentex Car Rental accepts the following methods of payment: Debit Card, Company Account, VISA, Master Card, and Cash
Insurance coverage (LDW) (Loss Damage Waiver)
For all the vehicles to run on the road, insurance coverage is mandatory. If the customer has OPCF27 coverage in the insurance policy then the customer needs not to pay for insurance coverage costs. It is company policy all travelers travelling from outside of Canada require to purchase (LDW) Loss Damage Waiver
PLEASE BRING IN THE COPY OF YOUR OPCF27 COVERAGE in your INSURANCE POLICY, TO AVOID ANY CDW/LDW Insurance. CHARGE(s)
The customers holding a credit card to cover the rental vehicle LDW need to make sure, from their credit card providers, on their own about the coverage(s) their credit cards extend towards the insurance of the vehicle(s).
DECLINED (LDW) If you choose to decline the LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) you are fully responsible all the damages caused to the rental vehicle including all the repairs and etc. For rates on LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) please call or ask our representative at the COUNTER or visit our website.
